02/03/2025 Auction 188	English Coins	Lot 1558	Proof Set 1746 (4 coins) comprising Crown 1746 VICESIMO edge, ESC 126, Bull 1669, UNC toned, the reverse repaired in the field, Halfcrown 1746 VICESIMO edge ESC 608, Bull 1691, UNC with some faint scratches in one angle of the reverse field, Shilling 1746 ESC 1208, Bull 1727 UNC with a die flaw from the King's hair through the II of the legend, and Sixpence 1746 ESC 1619, Bull 1759 nFDC, a matching set, comes with old (not contemporary) box, the first United Kingdom Proof Set, of which it is estimated only 100 sets were struck.
