A very Scarce high denomination example of one of the last George VI portraits notes just before the Asoka column types. A very eye-pleasing large sized note in dark green and lilac featuring a crowned portrait of King George VI at right on obverse and the reverse illustrating a Tiger's head and the Bank's Coat of Arms.

Manuscript cursive writing on reverse transcribed at best as "No. 4777 for a Mr W. Morrison of Guernsey (?), For Rupees Five only dated 26th August 1887' signed at bottom and Calcutta mentioned.
