Both in reddish-brown on multicolour underprint featuring a portrait of H.M. Queen and Hermitage of Elizabeth Castle in St. Aubin's Bay in the underprint at centre on obverse. The reverse showing illustrations of Seymour Tower in Groville Bay at left and Latique glass sculptures in St. Matthew's Church in St. Lawrence at centre. Printed by , London and watermarked with Jersey Cow's head and denomination.

World Banknotes of the States 1 Pick 8c (similar to BY JE11a) serial number B 098701 MISSING signature destined to be F.N. Padgham with the tile Treasurer of the States. The note in green on a multi-coloured underprint featuring a young portrait of H.M. Queen at right on obverse and the reverse illustrating the view of Mont Orgueil Castle ('Mount Pride' or 'Haughty Mount') also known as Gorey Castle by English speakers which construction was undertaken following the division of Duchy of Normandy in 1204 and it was first mentioned in 1212. The castle was the pri defence of Jersey until the development of gunpowder which then rendered the castle ultimately indefensible from Mont Saint Nicholas, the adjacent hill which overlooks the castle. Printed by Thomas de La Rue & Company, London inscribed in small script at lower centre margin on reverse and watermarked with a Cow's head. VF - GVF, a Scarce and interesting error
