World Banknotes The Commercial Limited Thirteenth issue 5 s Pick S328b (PMS CO 62d, BY SC413d) dated 5th January 1943 serial number 15/S 20532 signatures James Thomson titled ier & Sir John Erskine titled General Manager. The note in dark blue on yellow and red underprint with the obverse featuring a portrait of Lord Pitcairn the first Chairman of the Bank at lower centre and Allegorical figures at upper centre the same as the pediment on the head office building. The reverse with a dark blue guilloche panel featuring the Bank's head office building at centre flanked by the numerical values. Printed by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London Wall, London E.C. imprinted in small script at lower centre on obverse and which designs are regarded as amongst the very finest of the 20th century Scottish notes. This note in an attractive and presentable VF - GVF and a Scarce large sized issue

World Banknotes The Commercial Limited Fourteenth and Final Wilkinson issue 5 s Pick S333 (PMS CO67b, BY SC414b) dated 2nd January 1954 serial number 17E 048 024 and bearing signature Ian Macdonald titled General Manager. A very handsome and eye-catching design mainly in violet on multicolour underprint with the obverse featuring a portrait of Lord Cockburn one of the Bank's first Directors flanked by 2 Allegorical female figures representing Agriculture and Maritime shipping at upper centre and Allegorical female bust at lower left. The reverse in violet featuring a n period scene of George street, Edinburgh with the Bank's building at centre. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ld. New Malden, Surrey, England imprinted in small script at lower centre obverse and watermarked with the same female bust as on lower left obverse. VF and this is an example of the very last issue for the bank before the merger with the National.

May upper right corner "£1" symbol blank outlined and Pick 20a (BY JE14a) serial number PC083179 signature George Baird upper right corner "£1" symbol now green and filled in. mature II 1993 issue Pick 21 (BY JE24a) serial number HC9693876 signature George Baird upper right corner "£5" symbol now filled in. 1 Pound 2010 issue Pick 32s (similar to BY JE17) serial number CD000000 signature Ian Black. Along with Herm Island Trade Coupon for £1 made out to a Mr or Mrs Harding valid from 31st May 1957 to 7th June 1957 and a red Coat of Arms of Herm stamp for is affixed at centre right with an oval embossed stamp over it and this discount trade coupon was issued to tourists for use at several establishments on the island. The coupon in black on green underprint with the Coat of Arms at centre left on obverse and the reverse depicting different illustrations of the island such as the inside of St. Tugual's chapel, Holidays (Women in bathing suits on beach), Agriclture (Cows in field) and Industry (Pottery shop with Master potter at work). Herm Island is located east of . It is the smallest of the Channel Islands that is open to the public
