Further research shows that PCGS and NGC have graded just 17 examples of this coin. Only issued as part of the 1853 Proof sets, which are of extreme rarity, this is a rare opportunity to obtain a key coin in the Victorian Halfcrown series. This last such coin offered by us was in February 2009.Our archive database indicates we have only previously offered one example, this being sold twice by us, as part of the Andrew Wayne and Roland Harris collections.
